p.2 Steamer Watertown - The steamer Watertown, recently rebuilt, went over as far as Garden Island yesterday afternoon to try her engines and boiler which were found to work well. The Ferry Steamers - The ice at Wolfe Island is such as to render it necessary for the steamer Watertown to replace the Gazelle this afternoon on the trips between that place and the city. The Pierrepont came in shortly before four from Cape Vincent, and to return again. The Captain reports meeting with considerable ice on the way. Tonight may possibly finish up the navigation.
