p.2 Wire Rigging - Several gangs of wire rigging have recently arrived here, and are to be taken westward by Capt. Gaskin for the purpose of fitting out British schooners in the upper parts of the province.

-steel steamer Meteor launched at Sorel from ship yard of Messrs. McCarty; owned by Messrs. Allan of Montreal, wire rigging from Capt. Gaskin, to be used as tender for ocean steamers, besides being fitted as a yacht for the use of the owners.
