Lake Ontario Steam Boats

The safe, fast-sailing Steam Boat ONTARIO, propelled by two low pressure engines of sixty horse power, Wm. R. Miller, Master, on her passage up, leaves Oswego for Niagara every Monday evening, after the arrival of the stages and Packet Boats from Utica and Syracuse, touches at Rochester Tuesday morning and arrives at Niagara in the evening, from whence passengers may proceed in stages to Niagara Falls or Buffalo without delay, or to York, U.C. in the steam-boat Canada, which runs daily from Niagara to York. - On her passage down, leaves Oswego for Ogdensburgh every Thursday evening after the arrival of the Stages and Packet Boats from Utica and Syracuse, touches at Cape Vincent Friday morning, and arrives at Morristown and Ogdensburgh in the afternoon, from whence passengers may proceed the same evening to Montreal, and will arrive there on Saturday. She will touch at Poulteneyville [sic] when the weather will permit. Carriages will be in readiness at all times, to convey passengers from the Landing to Rochester; also from Youngstown and Lewiston to the Falls.

Deck and steerage passage half the above prices. For passage apply to the Ontario Steam-Boat offices at Oswego, Rochester, Lewiston and Ogdensburgh, or of the master on board.

No accidents of a serious nature, have ever happened to steam-boats propelled by two low-pressure engines.
