p.2 Gunboat Hercules - The Gunboat Hercules steamed up from Prescott yesterday, where she has been stationed for some weeks past, and still lies at anchor off the city.

-A new steamer of the Montreal passenger and freight line was launched at 3 o'clock this afternoon, at Hamilton, being the first ever built on the composite principle, lately become so general in England. (steamer Acadia ? - ed.)

Steamer Royal - The steamer Royal, which was used as a gunboat last year, has been delivered over to her owners in the same state as when she came into the hands of the Provincial Government, and cleared today for Montreal. The Royal will be placed on her old route between Montreal and Quebec as a tow boat.
