p.2 The Navigation - The weather still continues open, and the Beauharnois Canal is said to be clear of ice, but whether it has thawed or been broken by the Pierrepont has not been ascertained. This will let loose the propellers Avon and St. Lawrence, and the steamers Osprey and Empress, and perhaps others. The propeller Bristol has been laid up here. The ferry and Bay of Quinte steamers are running regularly.
