p.2 The Barley Market - ...The schooners Gazelle and Greyhound which have been refitting here cleared out yesterday for the Bay of Quinte, having been chartered by American buyers to convey barley to Oswego...also the Jane McLeod from Wellington to Toronto.

Picton, Aug. 25th - The schooner Ontario left last night with a cargo of 4,500 bushels of barley, loaded at Bog's storehouse; shipped by Mr. Colin Gearing. This is two months earlier than the first shipment last year, and one month earlier than in 1866. The schooner Enterprise takes another load this evening.
