p.2 The Arabia - This barque, which went ashore at Port Colborne, arrived here this morning with her cargo. She will discharge here.

The Schooner Defiance - Last night the efforts to get off the Defiance were crowned with success, and by ten o'clock she was safely towed into the dry dock. This was effected by buoying her up with empty barrels placed inside after removing a part of her cargo, and with the help of two powerful steam tugs.

p.3 Montreal, Oct. 16th - The steamer Fashion was seized yesterday evening by Mr. Tate as she was leaving his dock.
