p.2 Dismasted - The schooner Tom Martin, from Oswego to Toledo, owned in Kingston, was dismasted in a gale on Lake Erie last night. She arrived safely at Port Colborne, from which place her owners received a telegram this morning.

Montreal, Oct. 31st - The Grecian struck in Gallops Rapids yesterday and was beached at Edwardsburg. Assistance went from here to save the vessel and cargo. The Lord Elgin and Magnet will convey the freight to its destination, and the Champion will replace the Grecian on the line for the present.
