p.2 The Ice Trade - The western cities are at present being largely supplied with ice from different parts of Canada, and offers have been made from parties in Chicago, Cleveland, and Toledo to several houses in this city to supply large contracts, to be delivered upon the opening of spring navigation. Messrs. Folger Brothers have taken contracts to furnish a large supply to parties in Chicago, and one schooner is already laden, while the loading of about five more will be proceeded with without delay. Without doubt, Messrs. Folger Brothers' inducements to embark in this business are sufficiently profitable, and other parties will be likely to engage in the undertaking.
