p.2 Instructions were sent last week from Ottawa to Mr. G.H. Wyatt, Gunboat Agent, Toronto, to fit out and prepare the Provincial gunboats, in case it may be desirable to man them from a frigate to be stationed at Quebec. The Imperial gunboats now at Bermuda are ordered to Halifax next month. It is not known yet if any of these will be sent back to stations on the Lakes. [Globe]
