p.2 Shipping News - The propeller Huron passed down yesterday afternoon; the steamer Osprey and propeller Indian passed up last night, and the propeller Colonist passed up this morning. The steam barge Hemlock and barge William arrived at Swift's wharf this morning with 150,000 feet of lumber for the Oswego market. The steamer Rochester arrived this morning, and will continue her trips as usual. The tug Sarah will arrive from Gananoque. The barges Tiger and Yarrow left J.H. Henderson & Co's for Montreal in tow of H. Calvin with 23,500 bush wheat. The barge Forth leaves the same wharf tonight with 10,500 bush wheat. The schooner White Squall lies at Henderson's wharf waiting for a new centre-board, the old one having been broken in Lake Erie. The barges Cato with 10,400 bush wheat, the Rover with 14,000 bush, and the T.C. Lee with 10,000 bush, left Glassford & Jones' this afternoon. The schooner Bessey Berwick from Toledo, the bark Mary Jane from Hamilton, and the bark Malta from Southampton, all with timber, and the sch. Greenwood from Hamilton with staves, arrived at Garden Island since Saturday. The sch. Louise and St. Lawrence on Saturday night, and the sch. Bay Queen this evening, left the same port for Lake Erie. The tug Glide with four barges arrived at the M.T. Company's wharf on Saturday evening from Montreal, and the sch. Prince Edward from Hamilton with 7,500 bush wheat, arrived at the same wharf this morning. The schs. Sir E.W. Head and Sweepstakes leave the same wharf tonight with pig iron for Chicago.
