p.2 Shipping News - J.H. Henderson & Co's wharf - The barges Linnet and Thrush arrived this morning from Montreal with scrap iron. The barge Lyre will leave for Montreal tonight with 17,000 bush wheat. The Monterey unloaded during the night, and will proceed to Oswego.
Calvin & Breck's steamer Wellington passed down last evening with two rafts of pine and elm timber for Quebec. One raft belonging to Scott contains twelve drams, and one of Weller four drams.
Swift & Co's wharf - The prop Brantford passed down, and the steamer Osprey and America passed up this morning, touching at the wharf. The sloop Cora arrived this morning from Oswego.
Richardson's wharf - The sch George Henry is loading rye for Oswego, and will leave this evening.
The M.T. Company's wharf - The sch Annie Craig arrived this morning with walnut timber from Toledo. The bark Arabia will leave this evening for Racine with 100 tons iron ore.
Glassford, Jones & Co's wharf - The schr Jessie, with 15,000 bush wheat, and the sch Dauntless, Capt. Williams, with 10,500 bush do, from Cleveland, arrived last night; the sch Melrose arrived this morning from Toledo with 15,300 do; the sch Jessie will leave tonight for Cleveland with 150 tons iron ore ($1 American currency). The barges Consolation, Teviot and Mary will leave for Montreal this evening with combined cargoes of 30,500 bush wheat.
Garden Island - Arrivals since noon yesterday - The bark Vealta, Hamilton, timber and staves; sch Flying Scud, Kingston, timber. Cleared - schs Gold Hunter, Toledo, light; M.L. Breck, Port Rowan, do.
