p.2 The Annual Report of the Board of Trade - discuss needed enlargement of Welland Canal, Government's efforts to increase summer supply of water in Rideau Canal, Reciprocity, Carrying Trade - hope to see a large warehousing elevator built at Kingston.

p.3 Ottawa and Rideau Forwarding Company - The annual meeting of the Ottawa and Rideau Forwarding Company was held in Montreal on Thursday. The following gentlemen were elected Directors for the following year:- Messrs. L. Barnes, A.M. Foster, L. Jones, J.W. McRae and James Carew. The following were also elected officers:- L. Barnes, President; A.M. Foster, Vice-President; L. Jones, Manager; James Carew, Secretary.
