p.1 Royal Mail Line - The following are the appointments to the command of the steamers composing the Inland Navigation Company Line for the season of 1872: Corsican, Captain Sinclair, Spartan, Capt. Dunlop; Corinthian, Capt. Farrel; Kingston, Capt. Couverette; Magnet, Capt. Simpson; Passport, Capt. Carmichael; Banshee, Capt. Bailey; Champion, Capt. McCory. Express Line - Abyassinian, Capt. J.B. Estes; Athenian, Capt. J.J. Morley.

Preparations are in progress for the repairing, repainting and fitting out of the several boats for the approaching season's work.
