p.2 Steamboat Enterprize - The object of the visit to this city yesterday of Messrs. Moak, Case, Tracy, and Gagie was, we learn, to negotiate with the leading shipping merchants regarding the establishing of a new steamboat enterprise, the particulars of which are to remain quiet for the time being. They are arranging the customary preliminaries connected with the opening of the spring business and traffic on the Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburgh Railroad.

Found Drowned - man fell in hole cut in ice around steamer Pierrepont.

Canadian Navigation Company - Since the publication of the list of steamers and their commanders, composing the Royal Mail Line, furnished us and inserted in the News in a late issue, important alterations have occurred, the following being the names of the masters appointed for the ensuing season (per Montreal Gazette) viz:

Corsican - Captain Sinclair

Spartan - Dunlop

Corinthian - Farrel

Passport - Simpson

Magnet - Bailey

Kingston - Carmichael

Banshee - McCoy

Champion - Sherwood

Express Line: Abyssinian - Estes

Athenian - Morley

Union - Courvette
