p.2 Montreal Transportation Company - The annual meeting of this company for the election of officers and the transaction of the business was held at its offices, Common street, on Wednesday, Mr. Hugh McLennan was re-elected President of the Board of Directors, the following being appointed his associates on the Board: Messrs. J.B. Auger, John Ogilvie, G.M. Kinghorn, and John McLennan. The prosperity of the Company may be judged by the fact that it has additional barges building which will raise its carrying capacity to six hundred thousand bushels at the opening of navigation; it will also have an additional tug making five tugs with which to prosecute business next season. The quantity of grain moved by it during the past twelve months reached six and a million (sic) bushels. [Montreal Gazette]
