p.2 Lake Ontario Tariffs - A meeting of steamboat owners was held at Hamilton last week, for the purpose of regulating the tariffs on Lake Ontario. The tariffs of 1872 were adopted for the ensuing year, with the signal exception of the item of pig iron which was fixed at $3 per ton, when the owner of the vessel is responsible, and $2 per ton if he is not.
