p.2 Police Court - A sailor named Henry Tuley wanted to get a summons from the Magistrate against the captain of the James Richardson to recover wages which he said the captain owed him, but having no rhino the summons was not granted.

During the gale on Saturday night the schooner Dauntless, from Toronto, laden with 10,800 bushels wheat, ran aground on Murney's Point, mistaking the breakwater at that place for Holcomb & Stewart's wharf. On Sunday evening at 6 o'clock she was lightened of 4,500 bushels, and was then got off and towed down to her destination.

The Francis Smith arrived with lumber for Mr. Waddington's lumber yard.
