p.3 Accident At Gananoque - Aug. 6th - ferry steamer Lawrence Grey hit small boat; occupants saved by clinging to guard of steamer.

Sault Ste. Marie, Aug. 7th - The steamer Francis Smith, for Manitoba, passed up at 4 p.m.

Harbor of Refuge - It having been reported that Rondeau Harbour of Refuge was filling up, the Chief and Assistant Engineers of the Public Works Department visited it on Saturday, and found everything most satisfactory.

Niagara, Aug. 6th - A body was found about five miles down the Canadian side; only his clothes held the body together. Supposed to be one of the Foam's crew.
