p.2 The yacht Union Jack, of Belleville, with a party of excursionists on board, passed down yesterday for a trip among the Thousand Islands.

U.S. Survey - A party of United States surveyors are located at the upper end of Wolfe Island. They have been engaged for some time in making a survey of the St. Lawrence and the lakes.

The Regatta - A meeting was called at the British American hotel on Wednesday evening for the purpose of getting up a regatta for the civic holiday. We regret to say that the movement has not been successful. Not half a dozen gentlemen were present at the meeting. No action was taken and so the matter rests.

ad - Monday, August 24th Civic Holiday - Pleasant Trip Through the Thousand Islands - to Alexandria Bay on str. Rochester. - Gent's tickets 50 cents, Lady's 25 cents.
