PROPELLER ON FIRE - This forenoon, about 11 o'clock, the propeller Genesee Chief, lying at the wharf of Rawsons, Foot & Curtis, took fire in her upper works, and but for prompt action would have been consumed. The early discovery and extinguishment of the flames prevented material damage.
