p.2 A Novelty - The schooner Ellsworth, which left Port Dalhousie a few days ago, with 18,000 bushels of wheat, has arrived safely at Cape Vincent. This is the only arrival of a sailing vessel at any port on Lake Ontario at this time of the year on record.

The Weather - Pierrepont made a trip, having to cut her way through a thin sheet of ice.
