p.2 Yachting Notes - The yachts Coral and Gorilla arrived from Toronto yesterday on their way down the river.

Kingston yachts were fortunate in the races which took place yesterday. At Ogdensburg Mr. Thomas Robertson's yacht Laura won the $100 prize; at Cape Vincent the Zitella, owned by Mr. Strange, was also successful; and at Belleville Mr. Offord's Emma was successful. The Intelligencer thus refers to the Emma:

"This Kingston yacht which took part in the race yesterday, is a handsome craft, and acquitted herself well. She seems to be a first class sea boat, is very stiff under canvas, and in every respect a credit to her owner and the mechanic who built her. Propositions for another match between the Emma and the Katie Gray, which beat her in Kingston, have been made, and it is not unlikely that another race will take place between these boats. Mr. Offord, the owner of the Emma, is plucky, and deserving of credit for coming here to race yesterday."

Royal Mail Line - The steamer Magnet will leave Kingston for Oswego and Charlotte next Monday morning at one o'clock, so as to commence her regular trips. She will run three times a week, leaving here on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, at 4 a.m., for Clayton, Alexandria Bay, Brockville and Prescott, and at 7 p.m. for Oswego and Charlotte (the landing place for Rochester)
