p.2 And Still Another - The Napanee Express says: "Mr. John Mackie's new yacht, built at Lane's Yards, will be out this week, being now nearly completed. When finished and fitted up she will make a very fine appearance, and may prove to be a strong rival to some of the fast yachts of our neighbouring town. Her dimensions are: Length of keel, 25 ft.; length over all, 27 ft.; breadth of beam, 9 ft.; hoist of sail, 20 ft., main boom, 25 ft.; gaff, 15 ft."

The Proposed Race - Mr. Offord, of Kingston, owner of the Emma, in answer to a telegram sent him yesterday proposing to sail a race on the 12th July, stated that he could not come, owing to a previous engagement. The Belleville boats are anxious that the race should take place, and that the Emma should be one of the contesting yachts. Still, if the Society's prize will be again put up for competition on the 12th, $22 more will be added to the purse making $50 in all. This is a nice sum for first prize, and it should be looked after by all interested, and we only hope that Mr. Offord will endeavour to put in an appearance on that day. [Belleville Ontario]
