p.2 The work going on at the Lachine Canal enlargement is the means of relieving a great deal of suffering among labourers this season. Several contractors are in need of labourers, who are supplied with tools to work with.

p.3 Rebuilding - The schooner Jessie Macdonald, which was sold under a mortgage the other day is being rebult at the shipyard.

Repairing - The shaft of the steamer Algerian is being removed for the purpose of getting straightened, it being slightly bent. The work will be done at the Kingston Foundry.
