p.3 Welland Canal Missions - The Rev. Thomas Bone, who for several years has acted as missionary to the sailors at the Welland Canal, is at present on his annual visit to the city, and this evening will address a meeting in the Sydenham Street Church on his work. On Thursday evening he will speak at a meeting in the Primitive Methodist Church. Mr. Bone is a pleasing speaker, and will give much interesting information respecting a very important portion of the community, the sailors on the lakes. He is an indefatigable worker, and besides preaching twice yesterday spoke at the temperance meeting in the afternoon, and at the evangelistic meeting at the City Hall at night.
