p.3 The steamer Chaffey will be launched this week at Belleville.

The N.T. Steamers - Cape Vincent correspondent of the Watertown Despatch says: "It now appears that N.T. steamers will not stop at this port during the coming season, but will run via Kingston. The loss of these boats to this port will be something of an item - to say nothing of the inconvenience caused by the change in route. Our citizens generally regret that such is the decision of "the powers that be," but we are of the opinion that if the Company can stand it, they will manage to worry along without the aid of this line."
