p.3 Launch - The yachts Surprise and Katie Gray, which have been thoroughly overhauled by their builder, Cuthbert, were to be launched this afternoon. Both these beautiful craft present a handsome appearance. The Surprise will receive a new mast. [Belleville Intelligencer]

Customs Imports - May 4th - Str. S.H. Johnson, Charlotte, Chown & Cunningham, 50 tons pig iron.

Str. Glide, Oswego - Montreal Transportation Co., 1 bbl. lard and 1 bbl. oil.

Marine Notes

There is very little to report in marine matters today, the harbour being comparatively quiet. The Emma Hall, reported yesterday with lumber, was consigned to Noon and Tyner.

James Swift's - The steambarge Nile arrived from Westport with a general cargo; and the T.H. Camp arrived from Oswego.

The schr. Watertown arrived today at Garden Island with a cargo of staves from Toledo.

Collier, Toronto, Cleveland, light; Persia, Toronto, Cleveland, light; Queen of the Lakes, Port Dalhousie, Black River, light; Riverside, Port Dalhousie, Cleveland; Emeu, Ogdensburg, Cleveland, iron ore; prop. Scotia, St. Catharines, Toledo, light; Acadia, Hamilton, Toledo, light.

Down - schrs. Grace Amelia, Anderdon, Quebec, lumber; Canada, Toledo, Kingston, timber; M.F. Merrick, Toledo, Clayton, timber; Elgin, Dresden, Kingston, timber; A. Muir, Buckhorne, Port Dalhousie, timber; Pulaski, Toledo, Collinsby, timber; Corsican, Toledo, Oswego, corn; S. Amsden, Erie, Allanburg, coal; props. D.R. Vanallen, Chatham, Quebec, lumber; Dromedary, Toledo, Montreal, corn.
