p.3 Rumour - It was rumoured in town yesterday that the steambarge Adventure had been lost with all hands. She left the harbour for Oswego on Sunday morning, and was not again heard of until yesterday, when a telegraph was received stating she was all right.
The schr. Mary Lyons takes wheat from Milwaukee to Sackett's Harbour at 8 1/2 cents, instead of Kingston, as reported a day or two since. The Monterey takes wheat to Kingston.
The steamer Chicora, the ex-blockade runner, was towed past Detroit on Monday in a somewhat dismantled condition on the way to the Welland Canal, where she is to be cut in two and taken to Lake Ontario, in the hope of better fortune than came to her on the upper lakes. The Chicora is said to be capable of making 22 miles per hour.
