p.2 On Saturday the Annie Cuthbert passed the winning post 17 minutes and five seconds in advance of the Oriole, but the flag representing the championship of the lake was awarded the latter, the former having fouled a buoy.

p.3 Accident - The Brockville Recorder says: "The steamer Corsican, when coming into the dock yesterday morning, broke one of her hawsers after it had been placed on the hook, and before she could regain her place, the wind blew her stern around until she was obliged to back up to the end of the dock and come in again. About ten feet of the broken hawser remained on the dock, but no person was injured when it broke."

The Countess of Dufferin left last night for Cobourg.
