p.3 Returned - Captain J.F. Allen has returned home from his inspection of the schr. Magellan on Lake Michigan, and we believe his opinion is that no collision took place, but that the heavy storm caused the disaster. She is lying bottom up. From appearances it seemed as if a heavy sea had washed off the cabin, which rushing down into the hold had forced out the stern.
