p.3 Marine Notes

The schooner Fabiola, from Oswego, with coal for J. Swift, ran ashore on the shoal opposite Murney Tower last night. She was pulled off this morning by the Lady Franklin.

The schooner Ariadne was observed this morning at Four Mile Point with her flag at half mast. It appears that she left the harbour on Monday last, and anchoring at the Point her captain and another man came to the city, leaving only one hand in charge. He began to get alarmed at the prolonged absence of the "skipper," and hoisted his flag at half mast. The captain was taken up today.
