p.2 Toronto - The following are the rates at which marine insurances are being taken: A1, 5 1/2, for the season; A2, 6; B1 8. These rates are high and a reduction is expected.

p.3 The Steamer Shannon - The Napanee Beaver says: "The steamer Shannon is doing a large freight business this season, so far. The storehouse at Bowey's wharf is crowded to the door with freight awaiting shipment by her."

Trenton and Picton - The str. Utica, after having undergone the necessary repairs to fit her for the season's work, commenced running on Monday on her old route between Trenton and Picton.
