Full Text

The government steam dredge, under Capt. Malcolm, is doing good service in our harbor. There is an immense quantity of stone lying in the channel between the piers, and it is slow and laborious work to raise them, as they seem to be packed in solid. They are very large and it is trying to the machinery. Capt. M., however, thinks he will be able to give twelve feet of water in a few weeks on the bar.
