There are no arrivals as yet from the canal, but vessels are expected immediately.

Holcomb & Stewart - Arrived - schr. C. Gearing, Wellington, 6,000 bush. wheat and peas.

A telegram from Quebec states that the first raft from Garden Island arrived there last night.

Charters - The schr. M.L. Breck has obtained three charters, two from Cheboygan and one from Bay City, at $60 per thousand, which is about as low a rate as ever reigned before.

Swift's Dock - Called - strs. Milford, from Ottawa; D.C. West, from Westport; Algerian, from Montreal; Armenia, from Picton; Spartan, from Toronto; Kincardine, from Oswego; Persia, from St. Catharines.

Port Colborne, May 8th - Arrived - schrs. City of Manitowac, Chicago, Port Colborne, corn; Dudley, Erie, Port Colborne, coal; prop. Scotia, Duluth, St. Catharines, wheat.

Cleared - schrs. C.G. Cooper, Port Dalhousie, Cleveland, light; M.C. Upper, Port Colborne, Cleveland, light; Mary, Port Colborne, Cleveland, light.
