p.3 Collision - Yesterday afternoon about five o'clock a collision occurred between the schooner Anna M. Foster, Capt. T.F. Allen, and one of the barges of the St. Lawrence and Chicago Forwarding Co., off the Canadian Engine Works dock. The tug Frank Perew was leaving with a tow and the schooner was also leaving for a trip up the lake. The latter in getting out of the dock, but not having enough way on her, could not cross the bow of the tug. She ran into the second barge, her bowsprit being torn out by the collision. We cannot ascertain who was to blame. The barge was uninjured.
