p.3 The Alexandra Seized - The Brockville Recorder states that the side-wheel steamer Alexanra was seized there on the receipt of a telegram from the Customs authorities at Prescott. It appears that the Captain had left Ogdensburg during the forenoon, and upon calling at Prescott handed in his report to a man named Buckley, who, it seems, had no authority to take it. The Customs authorities accordingly telegraphed to Brockville, and upon arrival of the boat at the dock she was seized by officer Simpson. A bond for $400 was given and she was allowed to depart. We understand that this is the third time she has met with the same treatment, once below Ogdensburg, once at Prescott and the last time on Friday.
