To the Editor of the Daily News.

Dear Sir, - In last evening's News I notice a letter from "A Devoted Kingston Yachtsman." It appears his whole subject begins and ends in Captain Cuthbert and the yacht Countess of Dufferin. I cannot see what our yachting men want with the Countess of Dufferin. As to Mr. Cuthbert, he no doubt is a man of ability as a yachtsman, but the question is with us, have we not just as good yacht-builders here as anywhere else? I think we have, and if the yachtsmen and public of Kingston would only encourage those amongst us who have spent time and money on the sport, I think it could be proved that we have as good yachtsmen and yacht builders here as in any other place in the Dominion.

Yours, etc.

One Who Has Taken An Interest in Kingston Yachting.
