p.3 Better Times Ahead - The Oswego Palladium of Monday says: "Canadian vessel owners and captains in correspondence with vessel men of this city express the firm belief that the coming season will be much better than that of last year. The outlook they say is much more promising."

Short Notes - Navigation is open at Port Hope. The ferry steamer Transit is now making hourly trips between Prescott and Ogdensburg. The early opening of navigation on the St. Lawrence at this point is a now a foregone conclusion.
