Port Colborne, June 17th - The schooner Westside, of Oswego, while being towed up the Canal today hit a rock between Stone Bridge and here, causing her to leak so bad that they had to tow her on to the beach to keep her from sinking. She is loaded with coal from Oswego to Milwaukee. She now lays behind the east pier on the sand bottom, and has about five or six feet of water in her.
