p.3 Rumored Shipwreck - A rumour prevailed around town this morning that the schooner Henry Rooney, Captain I.H. Radford, had been completely wrecked, with the loss of all hands, within a few miles of Buffalo. We have made enquiries, but they have failed to confirm the rumour. It is hoped that it is untrue. What makes it unlikely is that where the disaster is said to have taken place, the Tanawanda River is not sufficiently deep for the schooner to sink below her deck.
