ACCIDENT - We understand that the Schooner Caroline, belonging to Capt. Trowbridge of Genesee, Capt. Tyler on board, was capsized in a squall on Lake Ontario on the night of the 2nd inst., freighted with dry goods for Ogdensburgh; Cargo lost, and clerk of super cargo drowned. The Captain and crew with much difficulty succeeded in getting on board the small boat and making the Main Duck Islands. They were discovered the next day by another vessel and taken off.
