Life Boats on Lake Ontario. - The great number of disasters this year on Lake Ontario suggests the necessity of having Life Boats at all the ports, to be used in cases where such aid is required. A writer in the Toronto Globe urges the matter upon the attention of the Government; and it would be a most acceptable measure to the people on this side, if Congress would authorize a large supply of such boats along Lake Ontario. The unusual number of shipwrecks suggests and demands at least this precaution.
