p.3The steamer Hero collided with the steamer Quinte Thursday morning stoving a hole in the latter's side. The officers of the Quinte are said to be wholly in fault as they attempted to run the steamer across the bow of the Hero in endeavoring to make the dock first. The Quinte was on her way to Kingston with about 200 excursionists on board when the accident happened, and had to abandon her trip. Her passengers came down on the Hero. [Kingston News]
