Robbery on the Steamer Ontario. - A young man from Kentucky, on his way to Cambridge, Mass., was robbed on the steamer Ontario, on Monday night, on his way from Lewiston to Oswego, of his wallet and $180 in Kentucky bank bills. It seems that the young man took a stateroom with the person who robbed him, a total stranger. On going to bed he placed his wallet in his pantaloons pocket, and his pants under his pillow. He slept soundly, not waking till some time after reaching Oswego in the morning. - On getting up he found his room-mate gone, and his wallet likewise, which was under his head. He immediately gave the alarm, but the robber had gone ashore, and made good his escape, and the police were unable to get any clue of him; but they are after him, and may overhaul him yet. The young man was on his way to attend college, and the robber took all the money he had, except a small sum of change.
