Schooner CERES [C] 118 tons. Built 1840 at Chippewa. Owned by McMasters. Home port, Mill Point. Value $800. Class C 2. REMARKS. -- formerly the Wm. CAYLEY.

      Lake Vessel Register, 1860
     
     
      The WILLIAM CAYLAY, (sic) a schooner of 140 tons burthen, built by the Niagara Harbor and Dock Co., was launched at Chippewa on Friday week. This vessel has been sold to Mr. McPherson of Kingston. The Company are about to build at the same place, two more schooners of the same size, the keels of which will be laid immediately. ( 2-2 )
