We publish the following letter, by request of a disinterested party, which fully explains itself:
Messrs. Lee, Lamoree and Navagh:
Gents - On the night of the 23d of April I had the misfortune to meet with disaster in the neighborhood of Genesee River. Owing to the efficiency of the tug A.S. Page, under the direction of Capt. Wm. Morgan, of the North Western Insurance Company, we were promptly assisted, and our vessel brought into port. My object in addressing you, for the purpose of acknowledging my obligations to Capt. Morgan; also, to tender my thanks to your firm (as well as to the above mentioned Insurance Co.,) for the workmanlike manner in which you have done my repairs, and for the liberality you have shown, considering the amount of work done, and I would respectfully recommend my friends that are interested in vessels, to patronize the Marine Railway as long as it is under your management.
Capt. Alex. Pollock,
Of schooner T. Buttles.
