THE THOMAS DYER. --We took a walk through this fine schooner this week, before she left port. Mr. King has spared no expense in making this vessel staunch and in every way sea worthy. In addition to the arches which we mentioned heretofore, she is furnished with hanging knees which are rarely found in vessels of this class. The hold is very capacious and will carry about 14,000 bushels of wheat. The vessel is furnished with an unusually good set of spars - in fact everything is of the best. The cost of the vessel cannot fall far short of $13,000. Capt. Kline feels justly proud of his new charge, and pronounces her as a good a vessel as ever floated in Milan Basin . She is built after the same model as the FLORA WATSON, and will undoubtedly prove a good sailer. We regretted exceedingly to see Chicago painted on her stern instead of Milan. The THOMAS DYER goes out upon the lake another proof of the superior skill of Milan master builders. -- Milan Free Press.
