The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Oswego Palladium (Oswego, NY), April 9, 1864

Description
Full Text

The Seamans Union - This organization which we noticed some few days since, continues to grow in strength, over fifty members being added at their last meeting. There are now upwards of three hundred names on the roll, and applications for membership are constantly being made. The seamen of Oswego are an earnest, industrious set of men, and we hope the formation of the Union will result in benefit to them.
