On A Strike - The ship carpenters and caulkers of this city are on a strike for higher wages. They propose to hold a meeting tomorrow night at Union Hall, (over Oliver's meat market) to which they invite the attendance of all members of the Trades' Unions and sympathizers in their cause.

They ask also the attendance of "bosses" to talk matters over, believing that they can be impressed with the justice and fairness of the journeymen's demands. The meeting will organize at half past seven on Thursday evening.
